Notes on home networking, self-hosting and small-scale infrastructure.

About

This is the personal site of Ben, a hobbyist with an interest in computer networking, virtualization and running small services at home. It exists mainly as a place to keep notes and as a home for the domain.

Interests

• Home networking: VLANs, firewalls, DNS and the occasional 10 GbE experiment.
• Virtualization and containers on modest hardware.
• Backups, uninterruptible power and the boring parts of keeping things running.
• Writing down what broke, why, and how it was fixed.

Notes

Write-ups will be collected here as they are tidied up. For now the site is a placeholder for future posts on lab builds, power protection and small-network design.
